I took these shots a few years ago, at the place where I parked my car on Thursday nights.

A spotlit entrance tunnel at the mouth of a transit endpoint—the car park. I’m interested in how we self-organise in such places, particularly within controlled environments that act as delivery mechanisms for shopping.

The surveillanced entrance means the site has been little touched by human presence, despite the many passengers who pass through. Drawing on the language of operational images, I have sought to reframe this by rendering the photographs in black and white, pointing to their dialogue with the lighting traditions of historical painting.
